About Us

Dr. Summer Winger
was born and raised here in Teton Valley.  She grew up on her dad's ranch where they raised angus cattle and a variety of crops.  Dogs, cats, horses, sheep, and rabbits are just a few of the other species that could be found on the ranch.  After graduating from Teton High School she attended the Universi
ty of Idaho in Moscow and then moved just across the border and completed her DVM degree at Washington State University.  After graduation she practiced medicine in Vale, OR for three years before returning to Teton Valley.  Her son, Jade, was born in 2004 and he has grown to share his mother's love of animals.   Summer's "extended" family includes roping horses, Tennessee Walkers, two dogs, and two cats.  Many of you are likely to meet her red and white border collie, Puppet, since she insists on riding along in the mobile unit most days.  And for real entertainment check out her bulldog's Facebook Page....BamBam Winger Jones.

Kathrine Polzin
grew up in a small farming community in central Wisconsin, not unli
ke Victor and Driggs.  She, too, had a number of pets including dogs, cats, and horses.  She attended college at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania and after receiving bachelor degrees in marine science and biology she moved to Florida where she worked for an environmental consulting firm.  After taking some time off in Colorado in the late '90's, Kathrine returned to school in Madison, Wisconsin and received her degree in animal technology.  She worked in the large animal barn and the small animal ICU at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School for three years before moving to Teton Valley in 2002.  Although single with no kids, her household is far from lonely with Iben her certified therapy dog, who rides along with us most days, three cats and a couple horses for company.

Summer and Kathrine worked together for six years before deciding to open their own business.  Having seen various mobile veterinary units at conferences and trade shows, and talking to people from other areas that utilized mobile vets, they decided it would be a great fit for Teton Valley.  So in May 2009 Circle S Mobile Veterinary Services was officially opened for business.  The name, Circle S was chosen to carry on family tradition.  The Circle S brand has been in the Winger family since the mid-1900's.
